Ambler Environmental Advisory Council

The Ambler EAC is an Environmental Advisory Council made up of community residents,  seven of whom are appointed by Borough Council.  Our members devote time and energy to assist elected and appointed officials in protecting the environment.  We advise Borough staff and elected officials on the protection, conservation, management, promotion, and use of natural resources within Ambler Borough limits.  Ambler EAC is supported by the Ambler Borough Council Parks & Recreation Committee. For more information about Pennsylvania’s EAC Network, see www.EACnetwork.org

What does the Ambler EAC do and who are they?

Ambler EAC members initiate and sustain projects that improve Ambler’s ecological assets.  We also build awareness of environmental issues in the region.  We write proposals to obtain funding for projects and work with the Borough to fulfill grants when awarded.

Borough Council appoints residents who apply to serve a 3 year term as EAC Members. Volunteers, who are not appointed and may not necessarily live within borough limits, also help with these initiatives.

The Ambler EAC typically meets on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of the month at 7pm in Borough Hall – all are welcome to attend! Meeting dates are posted on Facebook and on the Borough Website
